This site is about a community garden group in Dunton Bedfordshire England. It will give you an insight into what goes on there. Dunton Community Garden Group (DCGG) is a registered charity formed in 2001. Our Community Garden at Great Close Field, Church Farm, Dunton is run as an organic demonstration garden and is open to casual visitors 365 days a year from dawn to dusk. Organised groups may visit by arrangement for a tour and delicious refreshments. We hold various events and workshops throughout the year. The Garden is maintained and developed by teams of volunteers including those with special needs (in particular, those recovering from mental ill health).

Sunday, 12 September 2010 at 14:00 at Great Close Field

 

The Grand Opening of the garden and facilities at Great Close Field took place during an  open afternoon on :Sunday, July 18 from 2.00pm - 5.00pm.  

Sir Graham Wynne, recently retired Chief Executive of the RSPB, officially opened the garden at Great Close Field.  A good number of people took the opportunity to relax  to  music from the Adhoc Jazz Band and look around the garden. The refreshment tent was popular with delicious homemade cakes on sale.

Limited amounts of plants and produce are sold as available. There is usually a trolley at the entrance to 8 Chapel Street or in the first shed up the garden.
